The Indigenous Knowledge Institute at the University of Melbourne needed a website that better told its story – celebrating its work advancing Indigenous knowledge across Australia and around the world.

The work:
• Website UX review and refresh
• Original content creation
• Capability uplift and knowledge sharing

The difference:
Working closely with the Indigenous Knowledge Institute, Senti undertook a full review of the Institute’s website to help ensure its digital presence reflected the depth, integrity and diversity of Indigenous knowledges. By collaborating with the core team, Senti offered strategic and editorial recommendations to improve site structure, surface key messages, and better support the Institute’s engagement with Indigenous communities, researchers, and the wider public. The review considered how best to balance clarity, cultural sensitivity, user needs, and the requirements of the University’s digital environment.

As a result, the refreshed website is now better placed to reflect the Institute’s vision—as a place where Indigenous knowledges are respected, elevated and shared—while making its research, people and programs more visible and accessible to a growing national and international audience.

Senti works on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri/Woi-wurrung people of the Kulin Nation. In the spirit of reconciliation we acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
